An Unexpected Beginning

We were almost a full year into the pandemic and I had just gone through one of the most difficult experiences of my life.

My mother was recovering in the Tony Thwaites wing having undergone extremely intensive surgery after a life-changing diagnosis just a few short weeks before.

Now that the worst was over, my sister and I started focusing on how truly thankful we were for the skillful hands of the surgeon and the loving heart of the nurse who took such good care of our mom during her entire recovery.

In that moment these two people meant so much to us that we felt moved to do something special to demonstrate our immense appreciation.

I couldn't bring myself to send them the usual flowers or gift basket. This situation felt different.

The gift had to be something unique. A one-of-a-kind offering that really and truly expressed how grateful we were to have them in our lives.

From this desire, combined with a passion for flowers, baking and giving beautifully presented gifts, my first edible gifts were created. One for the incredible surgeon and one for the amazing nurse (who are both now friends for life).

The gifts were received even better than expected, with the MD saying it was the nicest thing anyone has ever given him, and the nurse saying she felt special and had a smile on her face that entire day at work.

I was ecstatic to say the least, and ready to mark my mission complete.

It wasn't until the doctor said..."If you aren't selling these, you seriously need to start"...that the spark that ignited Sweet Blooms by Camille was lit.

I am a self-proclaimed 'Gratitude Advocate' and use my talents and abilities to help others celebrate the people they value.

I understand exactly how it feels to want to show sincere appreciation, put huge smiles on faces, create happy memories and build forever relationships.

Is there a meaningful connection in your life you want to celebrate in a very special way? If so, I'm always here to help!
